Even though it is just December, World Series of Poker organizers are already plotting the summer’s best chance at winning a bracelet. On Monday, organizers revealed the dates of the 54th annual poker tournament: May 30th through July 18th.

Paris Las Vegas and the soon-to-be-renamed Horseshoe (previously Bally’s) casinos will serve as the settings for the series this summer.

WSOP senior vice president and executive director Ty Stewart stated in a press statement, “The historic premiere of the WSOP on the Las Vegas Strip delivered in a major way, and we’re delighted to announce our summer 2023 dates in time for the holidays.”

Poker players and enthusiasts may now set their sights on the World Series of Poker and perhaps give the gift of a trip there to friends and family for the holidays. After the success of last year’s tournament, we’re excited to return to the Paris Las Vegas and the upcoming Horseshoe Las Vegas for another thrilling chapter in the tournament’s history.

An early look at the World Series of Poker
This year’s Main Event attracted 8,663 competitors, creating a prize total of $80.8 million. On July 3, 4, 5, and 6, 2023, players will have their choice of four different Main Event beginning times.

Event organizers have also announced that Day 2 flights on July 7 and 8 will be open for re-entries owing to the large size of the starting stacks.

There will be both new and returning events in addition to the Main Event. Although a full schedule has not been released, WSOP has provided some details on more events happening this summer.

The series’ first event, the $1,000 Mystery Millions, is the show’s flagship. Each elimination in the No Limit Hold’em tournament is accompanied with a mystery bounty ranging from $10,000 to $1,000,000. The winner of the competition will get a $1,000,000 prize.

In the previous several years, gamers have shown a growing interest in mystery bounties. Rather of just giving out money for killing someone, like in a standard bounty tournament, they give out random prizes instead.

With the potential for a seven-figure payout, the new WSOP event is sure to attract a large number of players. In the inaugural mystery bounty tournament held last summer, poker expert Matt Glantz took home the $1 million first prize and 14,112 entrants.

Here’s the whole rundown of what’s happened so far
The entire World Series of Poker calendar won’t be available to poker players until 2023, but organizers have already announced the dates for many other major events. Included in this category are the lesser buy-in “weekend warrior” tournaments that attract large numbers of casual players.

Starting on June 23, for instance, you may participate in the $1,500 Millionaire Maker tournament, which also has a million dollar guarantee. On the same day (June 30), the $400 Colossus will begin, while on June 21 the $1,000 Seniors Championship will begin.

This year, the series has once again included a low-entry-fee tournament with a large prize pool. On June 7th, the $300 Gladiators of Poker will begin with a $3 million guarantee.

In addition to live tournaments, WSOP.com hosted a number of online bracelet tournaments in Nevada/New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan this summer. In 2023, there will presumably be even more virtual gatherings. Those digital competitions, however, have yet to be publicized. A complete list of all confirmed event dates is provided below.
