Both racing and poker need their competitors to seek out excitement, take calculated risks, and give their all in an effort to emerge victorious.

Because of these parallels, McLaren Racing and PartyPoker’s parent business, Entain, formed a relationship in 2021.

Together, PartyPoker and Formula One have brought thousands of new fans to their respective businesses, and in exchange, PartyPoker’s players have received a wealth of entertaining material.

Several aspects of life have been improved by the partnership between Entain and McLaren, and that is only expected to get stronger as we approach the March 2019 start of the 2023 Formula 1 Championship.

PartyPoker Users Are Excited by the McLaren Turbo Series
The McLaren Turbo Series, played for the first time in the summer of 2022, is one of the largest cooperative ventures between PartyPoker and McLaren to date. For the event, thousands of serious poker players gathered.

More than $2.5 million was wagered during the Series’ 68 individual poker events, with $443,000 awarded throughout the three Main Events.

These days, it’s not hard to find a series of poker tournaments, but in 2022, only the McLaren Turbo Series managed to really get people’s attention. Fans of high stakes games and seasoned poker players met to battle it out on the green felt.

The Series kicked off with a live event at the McLaren Technical Centre, pitting professional poker players against McLaren drivers.

McLaren Racing was represented by Daniel Ricciardo, while PartyPoker was represented by the likes of John Duthie and Carl Froch.

It was exciting for everyone involved that Ricciardo won the charity competition and took the trophy home.

It was only the beginning of a hugely anticipated online tournament series that would include thousands of participants, take place over the course of two weeks in July and August, and see millions of dollars change hands.

Celebration with Racing Fans at the Wheel
More than only the Turbo Series has resulted from McLaren and Enterain’s collaboration thus far. Fans of both PartyPoker and Formula 1 were treated to a plethora of exclusive materials created just for them.

Fans of the Formula One World Championship who also enjoy poker had a great opportunity to learn more about the sport thanks to the See the Unseen video series, which provided them with access to never-before-seen interviews with McLaren drivers and staff as well as other rare behind-the-scenes footage.

In 2022, the best informed Formula One fans were recognized via a quiz-style tournament known as the Super Fan Competition.

PartyPoker’s branded McLaren poker tournaments will continue with F1 grandstand seats and other McLaren swag added as rewards for the victors.

A free-to-play arcade game developed jointly by the two firms is set for release in the near future. Poker and Formula One will both have more material thanks to planned team efforts.

PartyPoker and McLaren are launching a new era of branded poker tournaments and series in anticipation of the 2023 Formula One World Championship.
